Rochdale’s Labour Parliamentary Candidate Simon Danczuk offered his congratulations; Mr Danczuk, who attended the awards ceremony, said: “I am keen to see an entrepreneurial culture take root in Rochdale so was delighted to see so much local business talent in one room.
“These wealth creators have an absolutely vital role to play in the development of our local economy. As the founder of a business myself, I am only too aware of the challenges of turning a good idea into a thriving business, so I don’t underestimate the scale of their achievement.”
He added that a major challenge facing Rochdale was to allow this entrepreneurial culture to flourish and make sure that ethnic minority entrepreneurs have the same levels of access to support as any other business.
